Topic: Removing The Second Arrow

There are many challenges in life that can make it difficult. From the perspective of freedom from suffering, this is not inherently a problem. Life is just difficult at times. Where it becomes problematic is when we add to the difficulty. It is this extra layer that we add, usually in the form of some type of resistance, that causes us to suffer.
We will use our day together to pay close attention to the particular form of investigation used in meditation that notices how we are relating to what is happening. We will begin to train our attention to move from the particular object that is arising to how we are relating to that object.
This area of meditation is particularly relevant to our daily lives. In addition, it offers us an opportunity to transform the difficulties in our lives from being events that perpetuate suffering, to being a gateway to greater ease and happiness.
