Topic: Wise Effort
Wise Effort is one of the factors of the Noble Eightfold Path and is important to cultivate on our journey to awakening. We will use the Crossing the Flood sutta as our guide for exploring what Wise Effort is, and what it is not.
We’ll explore Wise Effort as it pertains both to working with wholesome and unwholesome mind states, as well as fine-tuning the energy that we bring to the formal practice itself. There will be ample time for group discussion as we tease apart the nuances of this important aspect of the path.
Registration is now CLOSED.
Retreat Details
Friday night will be an opportunity for in-person conversation and community building with each other and with Chas. On Saturday, participants may attend in person or over Zoom. We will observe Noble Silence throughout the day to support our practice.
After you register for the retreat, you will receive an email with further details.
NOTE: Please bring your lunch on Saturday; tea will be offered both Friday evening and Saturday.
There will be baskets for dana (check or cash) for our teacher and to cover the rent for the space ($350). You will also have the option of offering dana through Chas’ PayPal or Venmo accounts or here on our website.
We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd and 4th!
Covid Information
We recognize that conditions surrounding ongoing Covid surges are frequently changing. For the December retreat we plan to follow the Maine CDC guidelines for protecting ourselves and each other.
