The Nature of Practice: An Awareness and Wisdom Retreat
with Alexis Santos and Susa Talan

When: Sunday, September 4 - Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Medawisla* Lodge and Cabins
AMC Wilderness Camp
Greenville, Maine

*Abenaki for Loon

Join ODMC co-founders Alexis Santos and Susa Talan for a three-night Insight Meditation retreat at the AMC Medawisla Lodge and Cabins on the Second Roach Pond in Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness.

Starting Sunday of Labor Day weekend, we will explore the practice of awareness in nature as it lays the foundation for the gradual development of insight or wisdom. Being among the mountains and open sky can be a wonderful support for the deepening of our mindfulness practice.

This retreat is appropriate for both new and experienced meditators, with periods of sitting and walking outside, whenever possible, as well as guided meditation and reflections to support your practice. There will also be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion, as well as free time to take advantage of the beautiful setting while swimming, paddling, biking, or hiking.
