Daylong Retreat with Chas DiCapua: Liberation From Unwholesome Mindstates and Emotions

When: Friday, 6/26, 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Saturday, 6/27, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Where: Open Door

It is very common for our attention to get caught up and identified with the thoughts and stories that arise from a particular difficult emotion. Trying to work with a difficult emotion on the level of thought is unproductive and often leads to frustration and doubt.

Instead, we train ourselves to connect with the emotion in its most essential form – that is, energetically. We drop below the level of stories and identification (they are our stories), and experience the emotion as energy in the body. Simply meeting these difficult mindstates and emotions in this way allows them to follow their nature, which is to transform and pass on.

We’ll spend the first half of the day practicing in a way that will help us inhabit our bodies. Then we’ll turn this bodily awareness to meet whatever arises, including that which is difficult.

Please contact Katy Kehoe if you need overnight accommodations, a ride, or have any other questions.
